In May of 2012, there were 191,440 graphic designers employed throughout the US, and they earned an annual median salary of $44,150. The BLS states that most recent graduates will work in the following industries:

- Printing and Other Related Support Activities

Those who graduate within the state also have the option of being self-employed or working as a freelancer.

For those looking for a great graphic design school in New Mexico, there are several to choose from. The largest, based on student population, was Central New Mexico Community College.
Also available are Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell, New Mexico State University-Alamogordo, New Mexico Junior College, Luna Community College, the Art Center Design College-Albuquerque and Santa Fe University of Art and Design.
